News: Ah Lian vs auntie clash mrt quarrel
This is rather a big news, it was first published in stomp, then on facebook, and on newspaper and now all over the internet.
I really feel sorry for the so called "Ah Lian" in the news article. I think that people call her "Ah Lian just because she looks more ah-lian-ish, but they cannot therefore say that she is "Ah Lian". And put yourself in her shoes, how would she feel when she is like trending bad reputation all over the net and news and on stomp and even social networks?
I think that the auntie is actually very unreasonable. The young teenage girl has already GAVE UP HER SEAT to the auntie, so what is there to harp about now? It is VERY RIDICULOUS for the auntie to also take picture of her, it is like totally making her embarrassed! At least when the auntie was scolding her like from the start "blah blah blah sdfgjk76849874982797 I am asking for priority seat and..." SHE DIDN'T EVEN LIKE ARGUED BACK WHICH GOES TO SHOW THAT SHE IS RATHER POLITE AND PATIENT WITH HER, UNTIL THE AUNTIE WENT TOTALLY OVERBOARD AND TOOK OUT HER PHONE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF HER SO THAT SHE CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT HER -.-
Some may feel that it is wrong for the teenage girl to not give up her seat to the auntie from the start, but at least she did it in the end, and she even put up with all the blabbering and scoldings from the auntie.
But I also thought that the teenage girl was rather rude, but I still think that it was more of the auntie's mistake and wanted to like "get revenge" or something from her.
News: London bus driver who ran over student acquitted
So as the title states, a london bus driver who ran over student was forgiven and CLEARED OF ALL CHARGE. I feel sorry and give my well-wishes to the victim and her family. Her family is really very forgiving and is willing to forgive the driver. I hope that the driver sincerely feels sorry and guilty and might want to make it up but probably offering some money to help out with the funeral of the victim or providing the family with air tickets to London to see the victim for the last time. The victim is a very young medical student who went to London for further studies. She should really be a smart and brilliant girl but it is really unfortunate that such accidents happened to her.
News: Singapore, a multi-racial country.
Singapore
is a multi-racial country.
We are
fortunate to be in a multi-racial country.
You may
ask, but WHY?
Singapore is SMALL, and has LITTLE and almost NO RESOURCES, has
SUMMER ALL YEAR ROUND, VERY CROWED, HIGH STANDARD OF LIVING, NO COOL EDUCATION SYSTEM, etc etc etc, and the
list goes on.
BUT!!!! We
have many opportunities offered by our educational institutions such as
schools, which provide us with education, regardless of race, language or religion.
The implementation of CCAs in schools helps to promote closer bonds among
youths from all races! We get together and strengthen teamwork. Through these,
we learn to appreciate one another’s talents and respect each other.
And if you
wonder, why does Singapore has little internal riots and fights?
Well, the
answer is very simple. It comes from a long way, from SCHOOLS.
Schools are
good places for us to learn about racial mixing, and they will make friends
with people of difference races. The more we communicate, the less the chance
of fights breaking out between people! J
Also, our
government has equal racial distribution in each housing estate. Living in the
same neighbourhood provides opportunities for everyone from different walks of
life to interect with once another.
That's how great our government is (well, I am applying knowledge I have learnt from Social Studies :P), so I hope that Singaporeans can actually stop complaining about this and that and this and that and this and that and APPRECIATE EVERYTHING WE HAVE IN SINGAPORE AND CHERISH THEM :)
Personally, even if I have a chance to migrate to other counties, I would most probably prefer to stay in Singapore, where everything is just so GOOD.
From FOOD to SHOPPING to EDUCATION to VERY ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT, etc :)
yea, I like living here in Singapore! :)
